This fantastic sporting estate was in at the start of driven game shooting back in the 1880’s and for a hundred years, it remained the preserve of the family and friends, regularly attracting famous shots and personalities.
In the 1980’s, the shooting was opened to a small number of syndicates who carefully kept quiet about their find. Then a few years ago, shooting stopped altogether. From 2010, the estate has re-opened and the constant demand for the shoot days on offer is testimony to the quality of the sport at Glanusk. Mark Coleman has re-developed and enhanced the original shoot, creating new drives and challenges for guns.
The Glanusk Estate is revered for the spectacular beauty and sheer majesty of its setting. Nestled amongst the beautiful, peaceful and idyllic countryside of the Usk Valley in the Brecon Beacons, it is one of the largest privately owned Estates in Wales. The topography and the views are simply breathtaking.
This is fantastic ground, It’s so rare for the setting and the topography to combine so perfectly for shooting. It could have been made for it.
The Ian Coley Sporting Agency is pleased to be able to offer days at Glanusk throughout the season, please contact us today for more information.
