Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace

About Blenheim Palace

Blenheim doesn't need any introduction, it is a monumental country house situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, and is the residence of the Duke of Marlborough. It was also the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. It is the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace. The palace, one of England's largest houses, was built between 1705 and circa 1724.

Blenheim sits in the centre of a large undulating park that was planted by Capability Brown and is a classic example of the English landscape garden movement and style.

Shooting at Blenheim is something special in itself, with many drives taking place within the parkland, the backdrop is beautiful and the sport to be had is stunning. Blenheim is also the home of the world famous CLA Game Fair, the World’s largest celebration of game shooting and fishing.

Lunch is taken within the Palace and guns are offered a private tour of the palace at the end of the day. Blenheim takes around 1 hour from Central London by car.

The sheer excitement when you arrive at Blenheim can clearly be seen in all the guns faces, the sheer majesty of the Palace and gardens are something to behold.
