ABOUT LLWYN MADOC

Llwyn Madoc shoot offers the very best in high Pheasant shooting, located a mile to the north west of the village of Beulah.  This attractive little town sits on the junction of the Rivers Wye and Irfon and is the gateway to the wilderness beyond.

The approach to Llwyn Madoc manor house is simply stunning and as you turn off the winding country lanes onto the estate it becomes apparent that these birds are going to be seriously testing, this is big country, the ground is very steep and everywhere you look you can picture stratospheric pheasants crossing the valleys.

Llwyn Madoc shoot is set amongst 4,000 acres of breath-taking countryside and is made up of a varied terrain, ranging from steep rolling grass banks to deep rocky sided valleys.  So whether your preference is for extremely tall pheasants over woodland rides or pheasants towering high above ancient trees in open parkland, we have something to please all guns.

On arrival coffee is served at the manor house where we draw our pegs for the day.  We aim to be on our pegs for the first drive by 9.30-10am and normally shoot three drives in the morning and one after lunch.  We stop for refreshments between drives in the morning, and return to the shoot lodge for drinks and a good lunch in the middle of the day. We finish the day with afternoon tea while we wait for the final scores from the Head Keeper. Alternatively we can shoot through and have lunch after the days shooting.

This is high bird shooting at its best.

Days are available through Ian Coley Sporting Agency, with bags starting at 250 – 500 subject to availability.
