MILTONS
About Miltons
The Miltons Shoot enjoys a long-standing reputation as one of the country’s finest sporting estates. Situated around the picturesque village of Bridgetown, north of Dulverton on Exmoor, it was among the pioneering shoots that helped establish the renowned Great Shoots of Exmoor in the early 1980s.
Extending across approximately 5,000 acres of spectacular moorland and woodland, the estate offers some of the most dramatic shooting terrain in the UK. Famous pheasant drives including Collies Head, Howe Wood, Tom’s Hedges and Milton’s Rock consistently provide thrilling and memorable sport, while classic partridge drives such as Triangle, Church, Squeakitts Top and Aerial continue to attract a loyal following.
Since 2019, the shoot has benefited from continued investment and a dedicated keepering team, ensuring exceptional bird quality and first-class sport throughout the season. It is a testament to the experience on offer that many teams return year after year.
At the heart of the estate lies Hollam Farm, where Guns are welcomed for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, providing a relaxed and traditional setting from which to enjoy the day.
Combining outstanding drives, breathtaking scenery, exceptional bird quality and renowned hospitality, The Miltons Shoot firmly deserves its place among the most prestigious sporting estates in the United Kingdom.
