Ian Coley MBE and his grandson Haydn recently competed in the Home International Clay Pigeon Shooting competition last week at Banbridge, N. Ireland. Ian being a member of the England Super Veteran Team and Haydn being on the England Junior Team.
This was Haydn’s first time shooting for the England team and came out on top beating Ireland, N. Ireland and Wales in the Junior section of the competition. With Haydn himself hitting 93/100 clays. Ian shooting a very respectable score of 98/100 and the England Super Veteran Team also won their event.
At only 16, Haydn was the youngest member of the Junior team, and at the other end of the scale Ian was the oldest on the Super veterans! Clay shooting is a fantastic sport that can be shot competitively for all ages.
