Clay Snooker is here for Summer 2026 at Ian Coley Sporting, offering shooters the chance to enjoy one of the best pool shoots in the sport. Running alongside our popular Wednesday 100 ESP competitions, Clay Snooker is open to all shooters - and you do not need to be entered in the main competition to take part.
Taking place across May, June, July and August, Clay Snooker delivers fast‑paced fun with a strategic edge. Selected shoots will also raise valuable funds for charitable causes close to the shooting community, allowing participants to enjoy a great shoot while supporting worthwhile organisations.

Format & Scoring
Each Clay Snooker round consists of:
Targets are numbered and scored progressively, with points awarded in line with the trap numbering:
- Target 1 = 1 point
- Target 2 = 2 points
- Target 3 = 3 points, and so on
Shooting Sequence Explained
The round begins with a structured sequence, followed by nominated pairs:
Round 1
Shooters must break Target 1 before any other targets can be scored. The opening sequence is as follows:
- 1 on report 2
- 1 on report 3
- 1 on report 4
- 1 on report 5
- 1 on report 6
- 1 on report 7
If Target 1 is missed, it may be double‑barrelled. Targets following the break will only score once Target 1 has been successfully broken.
Nominated Pairs
Once the break sequence is complete:
- Shooters will then shoot four nominated report pairs
- Targets can be any nominated combination
- Targets may be shot in any order
- No raff pairs are permitted
