The Real Deal with Steel is a unique competition created to support and encourage shooters as the sport transitions towards non-toxic shot across all disciplines. With change very much underway, this event offers the opportunity to experience steel cartridges exactly as they are intended to be used in real shooting scenarios. Across four carefully designed sportrap layouts, competitors will shoot with different cartridges from leading manufacturers on each layout, allowing for direct comparison of performance, feel and confidence as the sport begins its transition to non toxic shot. With cartridges included in the entry, this is a true hands on opportunity to test, learn and enjoy shooting steel in a competitive yet informative environment.

Away from the layouts, a dedicated trade village will house major gun & cartridge manufacturers and industry experts, all on hand to answer questions and offer practical advice. Teague Chokes will also be attending to provide expert guidance on choking options, steel proofing and verifying suitability for steel. Whether you are already shooting steel or unsure about the switch, The Real Deal with Steel offers an enjoyable, informed and confidence building shooting experience.

By completing your booking and agreeing to the Terms & Conditions, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted the following in full.

If you have selected "Yes, my gun is steel proofed", you confirm that your gun is suitable for steel shot and acknowledge that responsibility for ensuring your gun is suitable for the use of steel shot rests entirely with you.

Shooters are politely reminded to check their chokes, , where applicable, to ensure they are suitable for use with steel shot. If you are unsure, please allow sufficient time on the day to consult with Teague Chokes, who will be available to offer guidance.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Any cancellation made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full fee.
Entrants are only eligible to win one prize - High Gun, Class or Category - whichever is the greater.
Prize winners will be decided and announced at the end of the competition, on Friday 25th September 2026.
In the event of a tie for High Gun, the cash will be split. In the event of a Class tie, the prizes will be added and divided between the shooters who have tied.
In the event you win a prize but are not present to collect it, you must be able to collect your prize from Ian Coley Sporting, GL54 4AX.
If your prize remains uncollected 36 months after the competition date it will be donated to Charity.
By attending this event you acknowledge that it is in our legitimate interest to capture your likeness and that we can include your likeness in any film, photograph or audio-visual recording - all rights which will be owned by Ian Coley Sporting Ltd. You agree that any footage or images may be used by us in any and all media, for any purpose, at any time, throughout the world, including (with the exception of CCTV) for commercial purpose. If you object to being included in any photography/filming, please make us aware when you arrive.
Photography and filming on site is only permitted for personal use. Commercial or editorial photography is prohibited without prior permission from us.
