England cap Shaun Porter has been appointed Head Coach at the award-winning Ian Coley Shooting School following the semi-retirement of Jim French. Shaun has been with the team since 2010, building a reputation for his world-class tuition and gun-fitting skills. A former English International and National Trap Shooter, Shaun has won numerous County Championships in various disciplines; a Bronze Medal in his class at the English Open Sporting Championships and team Bronze for England at the DTL World Championships, amongst other accolades. He is an AA class Sporting Shooter and LANTRA qualified shotgun coach.
At the same time, the Coley team sees Shooting School Manager Jim French take some long overdue time-off, after over 22 years with the business. Jim will still be teaching two days a week for his loyal clients. Ian Coley comments, ‘Jim has been instrumental in bringing the Shooting School to the point it is today – a CPSA Premier Plus ground and one of the best in the UK. We wish him well for the future, and are pleased that he is to continue on a part-time basis.’
Mathew Davis and Craig Hartley complete the team of full-time instructors. Both are experienced shots and LANTRA qualified shotgun coaches. Helen Jones is the Shooting School Administration Manager.
